I have come up with one! "Rules were made to be broken" and it is true. Thats how I am, take it or leave it :P

so when you grow up and go speeding over the speed limit because that rule is made to be broken... and you get in a car accident and maybe hurt or kill somebody what will you tell the police, "well rules are made to be broken, so I went over the speed limit and hit somebody..my bad" rules are made to ensure safety and help people, you shouldn't break them... ever, no matter how little, one of the rules in my house is no swearing, so nobody swears, no matter how silly the rule may sound, we follow it

Well, most rules were made for the safety or happiness of the majority of people, not just because someone wants to make people's lives miserable. So, when you break a rule, you risk hurting someone, even the little rules. Of course, if you're the type that doesn't care about anyone but yourself, feel free to break rules, just don't complain when you get in trouble ;D A bit of teasing there, not meant to you personally as I don't know you. How about "Live each day as if it were your last" sort of has the same feel of recklessness as rules were made to be broken. Or one of my favorites, "Grin and make people wonder what you're up to"

I am not sure if I agree, considering rules are there to stop reckless people. Break the rules and you have to deal with the consequences. I hate it when people know they are breaking the rule and still complain when they get in trouble for it. About that swearing thing... I totally agree with the rule no swearing. For me, I find it very offensive when somebody swears, even if it was not directed towards me. Too many have not learned that swearing is rude. AND it ruins your mental capacity. I personally -never- swear. That was totally off topic. Certain rules assure the safety and protection for the people and animals around you. If everyone followed that saying, the world would be a horrific place.

My dad taught me not to swear at an early age.Swearing just disgusts me,it just shows you have a smal vocabulary and cant find a way to express your feeling through better words [/hijack]

why are we on the cussing topic. I cuss, or "Swear" as you call it, and I honestly dont care. Im so used to it I dont mind it.

That is just it. Too many people don't care. Then the people that do have to live through that. When someone around me swears I will personally ask them to stop. And that is really too bad that you are used to it. Not only does getting used to it put it into your vocabulary, but it also sticks there and takes up space that could be used by new (and better) words. I do not respect people that cannot stop themselves from swearing.

But, the thing is, I dont cuss ALOT. Its usually when I am mad, then I call the antagonist a jackass, or if I am hurt (Ex: I step on a lego..) then I say damn. I dont use the biggies ^^
