Morality of VP Players

To me it's just wrong when you: Are given gifties as a gift w/the promise of not breeding them, and do it anyway. Are given dogs specifically for your use b/c you show interest, then turn around and sell them. Rescue dogs from active players without offering them back before selling them. Offer services that you have no intentions of giving, or if you do render the service, you do a less than stellar job (training, art, etc). There is a difference between intending to do something, then life happens and you can't, and just not caring enough to start. Selling something as, say, a one of a kind when at any moment it could be bred. Pretend that your 'brother' or 'sister' owns the kennel that's linked in your signature. You know, the kennel you keep saying is yours. I know it's 'taking a risk' to sell dogs un-nuetered etc, but if you have an agreement w/someone, why wouldn't you have the right to get mad when they are dishonest and do what they want anyway? VP is just a reflection of how you act in real life. I mean, if you are this good at scamming now, think of all the credit card numbers you'll be stealing from your job in 15 years. I made it almost a year w/no posts in the vent section, but here we are. So if you ever wonder why I seem randomly snappy, refer here please.

well as for giving someone a giftie as a gift.. why not be smart and instead of taking their word, neuter the dog? That makes a lot more sense to me. If you give a dog someone, its now theirs. To use as they please, and even turn right around and sell. Theyre not obligated to keep them. I can simi understand the rescuing thing, but you have to be inactive for a while before kennels can rescue your dogs. Check in often. I understand the art thing, but sometimes its hard to get around to doing the work. It happens to me often. If someones selling a one of a kind, make damn sure its neutered. I dont get what your saying by the brother or kennel thing=/ You cant always trust people on a game. Theres a large chance you know nothing about them in real life. So dont take someones word, make sure dogs are neutered, ect. A lot of these things sound like your own pet peeves, not real problems. Because they're all very preventable.

Lmao I'm sorry you missed the point of my post. It's about MORALS. Maybe I missed the point of the vent section, is this for real life problems only?

I totally understand you. xD I trust no one on vp except maybe like 2-4 people that play. And these are people I have talked to for years. Its sad you can't trust more people on there word alone anymore.

I agree, but there's one thing I have to disagree with. When you sell a dog, no matter what purpose you orginally sold it for, it belongs to the new owner, not you, and they can sell it, breed it, retire it, do whatever they want with it. I don't mean to start a fight, just saying my opinion.

Well this is about morality, I agree. But you should know this is the internet and you no nothing about these players or their morals(give or take a few people you may know well). I believe morals should go mainly for real life, seeing how you dont get the full effect of a person through a computer screen.

I say: Play the game in a way you know you wont be cheated out of anything. You have to take into account a number of the players are young children, who dont know a lot about morals yet. So to you whats wrong may be something they do all the time. So instead of going on about people morals, just let this be a lesson to you. Neuter your dogs, dont be too trusting, ect. You cant change people morals. So change the way you see people mainly. I dont see why you would want to sell a giftie unneutered anyways. If they agree to not breed it, why would they have even a little problem with you neutering it? Thats a red flag right there.

Lolo - I was under the impression that this was the Vent board, not the, Discussion board. I think if someone is upset enough to vent on the Vent board, then they are likely not looking to have it discussed, and they are definitely not looking for a lecture. I think its pretty rude to tell someone that they are wrong when they are putting forth a perfectly respectable opinion in a place where that is completely allowed.

thanks xaetian, and i didn't see a point in discussing anything with someone that didn't even read the whole thing before posting. i vented, now people know how i feel on the matter. good enough for me. it's almost like she's saying 'let the dishonest people be dishonest, even if it makes it hard for everyone else to enjoy the game'.

Hate to break it to you. every board on VP is a discussion board. Youve shared your opinion, so I gave you mine. Next time you post, make sure you write "Dont post unless you agree with me" Where people can see it. Im trying to HELP you, not bash you. I did read the whole thing. I made it clear. And yes, thats exactly what im saying: let dishonest people be dishonest. You can change them. Especially not through a computer. That was my point, the entire time. So I gave you ADVICE to HELP you not get hurt. Like neutering dogs. Selling un neutered gifties that you dont want break is like playing with fire, you sometimes get burned. But obviously you knew it was entirely possible to be burned when you decided to play with fire. Im not trying to be rude or mean at all. This is just the way I am: Ill give you my opinion even more so when I know it can help you. Sorry if I did seem to bash you, but I wasn't intending to get you angry at me.

I kinda have to disagree about the art thing. Artists can't just turn their muse on and off, sometimes even after one good drawing it disappears, and everything you try to draw just looks like crap. It also can be specific, like if you draw one thing for a long time, you'll get tired and they wont turn out good anymore. But if you draw something else entirely, it's pretty good. When I open up commissions, I do intend to draw every single one of those commissions to the best of my ability, but what good would that promise be if I couldn't even draw anything good at all?

Well Every Sponsor I know hates that and i do to, but i just got an advertising message from a sponsor.... Exactly ^^ Like my commissions right now >.> I havent touched them, because right now my muse is pretty much dead >.> And, I would much rather them wait a while and get a good outcome, than me rush into it and give them something they arent going to like ^.^ Everything else I agree with xD As for the "person buys and can do whatever they want with it" 'discussion' that was going on, if you are told -not- to breed it, and you do :roll: I guess that just means you're going to have bad refs. and people wont be giving you anything anymore :? I always neuter my dogs, aside from to the few people that I trust. So, I do agree with you on that, for sure.

as far as art, note that i said there is a major difference between life happening and not being able to do it, and just never doing it, all i ask for is to keep me updated if i order from you, which everyone i've ordered from has done. i have had art made for me that was no where near the calibur of the examples that were shown though. same with training. and that's the thing lolo, you aren't breaking anything to me b/c i already know that with most people, you have to neuter dogs you don't want bred etc etc. i'm just saying it sucks that you have to do it. i never sell things to people i've never heard of before, so i'd expect to be able to trust anyone i sell to b/c i've spoken w/them several times. i'm not mad at you, but i already said in my first post i know it's risky to... essentially trust people, which is really sad. i know i try not to do anything on this game that would get me banned, esp. w/all the real life money i've spent on here. i hate having to look at someone's name and think 'oh that's the person that did $&*@*@ to me'. if you let the dishonest people continue to be dishonest, then you are enabling them and there's no reason for them to change because people allow them to do whatever. but anyhoo, i was pissed off when i wrote this vent, now i'm not and i want to check on the moldy meese!

37.5 37 dogs groomed to 8 (that's what it is) and one dog groomed to 4. Thus, 37.5. 37 and a half. xD Not that any of them have been started. -_-

I completely agree with the pretending your brother or sister is using the sig as well thing (i also agree with the rest of the stuff but this one mostly gets on my nerve) i meen honestly who would fall for that? the said brother or sister could just as easily use there own :? i mean thats one thing but the player that i noticed said that also tryed a "its my sis/brothers b-day i noticed you got a few sp's, could you give me a sponcer kennel so i can give her a presant please :evil: " oh and when i got suspiciouse (excuse the spelling if wrong :oops: ) player changed it to " oh my sis/bro has one but i dont have any and dont have enough money to buy one". Well lets just say i'v seen that particular player since than selling a lot of sp kennels, goodie dyes ect :shock: . im glad i didnt trust the player. Sorry for hijakn a little, i couldnt help it it just really got on my nerves :evil:
