• That stinks...but remember that most people have scoliosis at some time in there life. I had it when I was about 11 at 15Ëš, and now I don't have it at all.

There was one exercise I remember to help get rid of it a bit (other than sitting straight): Hold a gallon of milk in one hand. Do a half-moon (bending in that direction without bending your knees) as far as you can without it hurting. Hold for five seconds. Do this a few times then switch sides. It helped me a lot, I think, and I've been able to do yoga way better now.

luv,
scx

 • Scoliosis can't be taken away, other than by spinal fusion surgery, Scottie.

But, if the degree of your back curve is getting progressively worse, you can ask your parents to contact an Osteopath, who can help decrease the curvature by natural massage-therapy methods.

I hope your back doesn't start hurting you, and that everything gets better as soon as possible.

Oh I didn't mean "taken away," sorry! Just very slight...the last time I was seen they "couldn't find anything" on the x-rays - so something very small - so therefore can be fixed a wee bit. I'm tired so not making sense...sorry.

 • One of my friends has scoliosis, and they put rods in her back to stabilize it, but they took the rods out after about 2or 3 years when her back was pretty close to straight again.

 • I do not know what scoliosis is. But I am still sorry ):

I have asthma. I only really notice it when I'm a) running or doing a very active sport/activity or b) when I'm sick.

Sometimes I do notice it with my breathing and have to take my inhaler, but it's fairly mild; I've never been hospitalized for it where in a situation when I can't breathe at all.

If you get it when you're running in P.E. or any active doing, just try and take your inhaler 30 mins. before the activity and it kills it a little bit.

I try and make the best of my mild asthma, but yours might be much worse.
