Ugh! This gets on my nerves SO much. "Offering professional layouts & graphics!!" No. ;-; It's not professional. Meaning: A professional is a member of a vocation founded upon specialised educational training. - <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professional"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professional</a>; People think they're professionals when they have a special program or if they just copy codes. D; Does this annoy anyone else?

Yep. I see it all the time. I think people think they can get more money for things if it says professional in front of it...

it's not professional unless you've been paid IRL for your services at least once. there are at least two graphic/layout makers on virtualpups (not just the forum) with the privelage of calling themselves professional, myself being one, but I think the other (sweetwolf) quit a while back >>

no offense meant by my previous response. I know some people are pros, but i do believe there are some who are not really pros, and those are the ones that bug me...

Just becuase i was paying attion in english. people use professional in front of things as a propaganda technich... i thinks its called testimonil or apeal to prestiage *shugs* i like the way rohesia puts it...

I make good money with web page design on other sites, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Just because you don't see people make money off layouts on VP (which is disallowed by the TOS) doesn't mean they don't have the "privilege" of calling themselves a professional. Based on that definition, no one on VP should call themselves professional, as there would be no way to verify the assumption. Perhaps we should boycott "professional" layout and graphics makers on VP? That would be interesting LOL

Well, in my defense, b/c I do use pro have you ever hear dpeople say wow, you're a pro at art? Well, it can be the same for layouts. I picked it up when I saw it all over the bp 2 years ago....

It's annoying when the "pro" layouts look like something MS Paint threw up. I hate seeing ads like "OMG PRO LAYOUTS" and then I go to see some of their examples and it's just really lame. People just need to stop using it for advertising.

I think that It has become like a habbit for me, I had seen Professional Puppy Pics alot like everywhere, and well It sorta, kinda just adapted into the name with it...But lately I've been watching how I use my words lol
