will someone please tell me what the point in having your own car is if you cant even drive it?!<br><br>im sixteen years old i have been driving since i was fourteen i have my own car and my dad wont let me drive it so once again tonight we got into an argument over the subject and i "Raised my Voice" so he took my keys from me. ug im sooo mad rite now its crazy :evil: :evil: :evil: <br><br>please tell me im not the only driver whos parents are this ridiculous<br><br>and please no there the parent speeches.

    uhh driving since 14? o.0<br><br><br>And I have my own car and I am encouraged to drive and do things myself. I had to go to the doctors on my own and drive my sister to her lessons. I dont even have to ask to use it. Never had my keys taken either. I had my license since the first week of November.

    <br><br>here you can get a permit at 14 but you have to drive with an adult <br>although i didnt always lol...<br><br>and i wouldnt even mind having to run errands ect if it means i get to drive my own car. i got my licens last week so idk hopefully ill have free run by the end of the summer.

    Ooh. For a permit here you have to be 15 and a half. And errands aren't fun. My mom made me take my sister out to eat the day I got my license. xD I was reluctant to go. <br><br>And I wouldnt mind if I had a van as long as I had my own car. I got lucky and have an 03 Honda Civic with leather seats. My mom also gave me a credit card so I can get gas whenver.

    <span style="font-size:75">The same thing happened to me...where I live, you get your license at 16 and 3 mos., but my parents got me a car for my birthday and wouldn't let me drive it...then I got my license and they were still like "you need more expirence" (I live on a farm and have been driving around horse trailers my whole life) so I was pissed...but then, after I got my actual license (not preliminary), they let me drive. hehe...Took them long enough.</span>

    my dads phsyco controll freak and wont let me plus its payed off so its not like i can pay payments but i do pay insurance and gas so its like mine hes such a bad word ug. lol

    at the moment i wrote this yes i just wanted people who agreed with me. <br>i was very angry and didnt want the pro dad side of the subject. but now im not in that moment of major madness and i sorta got over it.
