Titan-My New GSD Pup.

I just purchased Titan (7.17.09) today from our no-kill shelter. He was surrendered by his previous family 2 days before, as he is a "big" puppy, and is a "danger" to their little kids who are around 3 yrs. old. He is a 9 mo. old German Shepherd. There were 25 other dogs in the shelter. And at first I was looking for dogs that were quiet, that didnt jump up, or bark, etc. when walking passed their cages. I didnt want puppies... So I skipped out the pups altogether. I then came across 3 dogs that were quiet, and just sat in the kennel. One being a big ol' German Shepherd mix who was about the size of my older dog; Ol' Dumpy Dog. The dog that was next to him was Titan, and across from him was a shy female Lab/Pointer. I checked out the big German Shepherd mix first. He didnt get along with Dumpy Dog. So I then checked out this guy. He was MAJORLY hyper, and jumped up on everything, and was just a tornado of energy. He goTitans hyper-ness. The female... I didnt even bother introducing her to Dumpy. After taking her out of the cage, she still remained shy, even after taking her outside. She then began to shed tramendously due to stress most likely. And as bad as I felt for leaving her there, I wasnt really feeling close to her at-all. Not like I did with this Titan. I paid $120 for his adoption fee. Took him home, and he's suprisingly being very mellow. He likes to ride shotgun in my jeep. And behaves really well for me... SMART dog. He's my first GSD. But my aunt breeds them in Michigan. I bred two litters of GSDs and then my female died about three or four years ago. I still have my older male but he's getting real bad, he wont make it much longer. That's a very nice looking pup though, was he registered?

The animal shelter people said his parents are AKC registered, but there was "limited" registration on my guy. I taught him how to sit and lay down already. He's catching on to rules around the house quite easily.

He is AKC Reg. However, we had him DNA tested and he is a GSD/Wolf Hybrid. He is now over 150lbs. And stands over 6'5" on his hind legs. If you look at "My Sled Dog Team" or whatever I put that on there... He's on there and the pic is updated
