I accidentally hurt a small mouse I found in my dishwasher. I didn't know what was moving at the bottom of it and quickly slammed the door, hurting Preston's paw. He can't really use it now... I'm assuming it got squished pretty badly because he was in so much shock he just sat there staring at me, not trying to run away like he had been a few seconds earlier. I didn't mean to hurt him and now I feel extremely bad.

I don't know what to do with him... I'm not going to kill him! It's winter so I'm afraid if I let him outside, he'll just find a way back into the house again and get killed by my cats. D; We never used to have a mouse problem in our house because our outdoor cat killed them all before they got in the house... but what to do with Preston now?

He's currently sitting in a big yellow bucket with a bowl over top so he can't escape. I have a few pictures.. he's pretty tiny. So what should I do with him?

<a href="
