I adore bettas. I have lots of pictures of old breeder and pet bettas, but I don't currently own any.

I like Professor Plum. The name is cute.

Edit:
In case you wanted to know the colors of your bettas; they all technically fall under "multicolor" since it's just a mix of red, blues, and greens with no defined pattern. You have two blue/red multicolor singletails, and Mr. Wickham would most likely be classified and a turquoise/red multicolor singletail.
I'm done with VP. I'll just be around until I get all my dogs and lines placed in good hands. If you want to contact me, please do so through deviantART.
PrinceSushi took the words straight out of my mouth. lol

I have 18 betta splendens. If you really want me to, I'll post some pictures. There is a thread some pages back of my then fish. Some have died and I've gotten new ones since then.

Just have to say that I love their names. Pride and Prejudice is one of my all-time favorite movies. Mr. Wickham is beautiful. My first betta was a multi called Jackson that looked very similar.

My mom decided she liked that name and since he's a purple like color thats his name. lol

Thats cool. I wasn't completely sure what they would be called exactly. Still new to the whole Betta thing. So far haven't had any problems. They are my favorite fish though. We have two other tanks of fish and they will ignore you but the betta's 'talk' with you.

18? Wow. I can totally see myself having that many or more at some point later on. I would love to see some pics of your betta's.

I love the movie too. If you couldn't already tell lol. I wanted to get this orange betta and name him Mr. Bingely but mom liked Professor Plum better. There was a really pretty black and orange one that I will be going back to get as soon as I can. I'm hoping to get a crowntail soon as well. I just love these little guys.
Bettas are horrifyingly addicting. lol I joined a betta forum and that made my addiction even worse. lol

I really hope you get the orange you want. Orange is one of my favorite colors. I had an orange pineapple male called Sunfire and spawned him with a yellow cambodian female. I had hopes of getting orange cambodians and I DID!! I guess I was just too inexperienced when I spawned them because not long into life, my fry died. Next time, I'll be sure to do MANY water changes. I think that was my problem.

If Photobucket is working right now, I'll get some pics up of all 18 as soon as possible. There are 10 girls and 8 boys.
I think Bettas are one of the most beautiful pet fish. I own one named Poptart. He is purple and I've had him for about 4 or 5 months. My little sister had a multicolored one but it flopped out of the bowl and died......she didn't want another one, but I've been thinking I might want to get one to put in the extra bowl.....I love going to the petstore to pick them out, they are pretty, colorful, and easy to care for.

Yes they are. And honestly I really don't mind. Moms thinking about dividing up the 5 gallon tank upstairs for more bettas! :P I'm doing my best to convince her it would be a great idea.

My dad would let me breed them later on but my mom is kinda against it. Most of my time would have to be devoted to them and atm I wouldn't have enough time to do that. I want to know more about them before I try taking on something like that. Would you mind pming me the betta forums you are a part of?

I just looked at your post and they are all so very pretty!

I'll PM you. I have a divided 10 gallon for four males. I refuse to to keep my fish in anything less than 2.5 gallons. Just be careful when you divide tanks. Bettas are great jumpers and find ways through or over the divides and sometimes get into fights.

My betta's are in a 1.5 gallon. Mom wouldn't go for anything higher. Mr. Darcy is so small that its perfect for him. Wickham and Plum seem to be doing fine so far. I'm hoping to eventually get them in something a bit bigger possibly. I knew that they were but I also found out that they are great jumpers the hard way. Mr. Darcy knows when I'm going to feed him and waits at the top of the tank for me to drop his food. Mr. Wickham on the other hand jumps for it and scared me half to death when he did last night.
