• That just happen to be the same breed that they breed? Sure good breeders are involved in breed rescue but no stay away from them find a good breeder who breeds for health, very important in that breed, and temperment
 • All our puppies come with full papers,
No "rescue" dog will come with full papers.
Because if they're dumped, they won't be dumped with a registered mother and father present.

I'm not trying to dog on your Avla. things just don't sound right with these people.

 • True didn't notice that. They can't have puppies that were dumped on them with papers. That requires both the stud and bitch owner to sign registration papers.
 • They gave me pictures of the pups and parents.
A lot of breeders rescue the same breed that they breed - I want to do that for when I start breeding Great Dane. Right now I am in just the questioning process, but this pup is just an option if they turn out good.
 • Like I said: I am not 100% on anything, just questing and keeping my options open

And I think that was an automatic email, because I got it right after I sent the email.
 • That's a bit odd.

I don't think this person speaks very good English, but I am asking for references or to see pictures of her other dogs.
 • I agree with the others. This just doesn't sound right at all. I think we all just want to see that you don't get hurt by these so called rescuers. If you really want an EB check out Petfinder. We have a credible EB rescue near us that gets adults and puppies in all the time.

I'd also stear clear of people that brag on how many wrinkles their dogs have. That just seems dumb. lol Do you know where these people are from?

I'll be honest, I was looking for a (mutt) kitten on sites like Craigslist and I got a lot of scammers from Africa wanting me to pay $250 shipping fees to send me a purebred cat. I was like... uh no.

I haven't found many Bulldogs on Petfinder and the ones I did find where bulldog mixed breeds, does the rescue ship dogs? Can you PM me a link to their website? I found a Bulldog rescue in Florida, I'm thinking about that to but the thing about rescues/shelters is that they don't ship if you want a dog out of state and there are 0 Bulldogs in shelters here.
The wrinkle thing got to me, that was one thing that stood out as that did sound dumb xD- but it doesn't mean they are bad breeders/people - that's why I have been asking them TONS of questions. She also gave me references to people who have purchased from her before and I plan to contact her references. And I really love the guy I picked out, if everything turns out good then he might just be the one - but I also found another pup that I am thinking about:

<a href="http://www.libertyenglishbulldogpuppies.com/index.asp?ID=117"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.libertyenglishbulldogpuppies ... asp?ID=117

He's $1750, that includes shipping, crate, etc.
But I have contacted about 10 other breeders, hopefully I can get some replies and within the next few weeks I will be deciding on a puppy. :)
 • I know here not sure how feasible it is in the US rescues do transport runs with a few people involved during sections of it. Given not many airlines ship english bulldogs anyway that might be the best option. I'm not sure I would buy from someone who offered to replace your puppy if it got health problems. Breeders don't do that they health test for things like HD and heart problems and say they've done their best not offer a replacement. You could as they name petair on their site as the company they use contact them make sure these people do actually ship puppies with them.
 • Avla, would you mind PMing me the information regarding the rescue you are contacting? I have several people involved in that circle that would more than likely know for certain whether or not this group is legitimate.

Several breeders here in the U.S. ship Bulldogs, if the weather permits it, the breeders also here replace your puppy with another one of your choosing or you can pick in a future litter. (from the breeders I know, and the majority of them are reputable) If it was me, I would have that in my warranty because there is always a chance that the pup could STILL carry any health problems no matter what kind of testing is done. If my pup died (even from a reputable breeder) then I would want my money back or a different pup (although most breeders don't offer refunds).

I've had about 6 other breeders message me this morning as well.

I deleted those emails. D;
I decided against it, because I was getting the run around after the last few emails.
But, Tornado is still on my list. xD
 • Good luck choosing a puppy. I love english bulldogs even if I'd never get one I like my dogs a bit more athletic
