Sick :/

edited August 2010 in General Discussion
So I have been sick since yesterday. It hurted to swallow and I was soo sick to my stomach and very tired. The day before that my boyfriend and I went into the jacuzzi in the rain. It was colder then how the weather usually is. Could this be why im sick? My boyfriends twin sister went out in the rain to sell some cards for cheerleading and then she said she started feeling sick. I was in the shower and then all of a sudden started feeling very sick and vomited (I know tmi xD) and it tasted like acid really bad and was like a green/yellow color. I had a couple of snackwraps and a drink and also took some advil and also taking maybe 1-2 hour naps. My legs ache really bad and so does my lower back. My throat and stomach do not hurt that much anymore I feel about 75% better then yesterday and last night. Its been raining like crazy and has been cold. Could I be sick from going from 85 degree weather to 56 degree weather?
Cookies and tea to all that give advice :]

 • Changes in weather do not cause sickness. Sickness is caused by bacteria/viruses that are passed between people. What a cold change in weather does is make people move closer together, allowing the bacteria/viruses to pass more easily between them. Most require at the least 12 hours to show symptoms, some you can have for a week or more before any symptoms emerge. You may have picked up a bacteria or virus from the jacuzzi. Bacteria love warm, moist places, such as swimming pools, showers, jacuzzis, etc. But, if the twin sister is also sick, I would hazard a guess that someone else in the home brought home the sickness and then passed it to other members of the family, then you got it. Or you may have picked it up from the change someone handed you at the gas station, or touching a doorknob someone else who was sick had touched previous to you, etc.

On a good note, once you contract a virus or bacteria and your body's immune system fights it off, you will rarely, if ever get sick from the same virus or bacteria again.

Green/yellow is bile, meaning there wasn't anything else in your stomach and not really a sign of anything other than you not eating.

That makes sense It may be from my niece who I believe was sick and she probably got it from a kid from daycare. Thanks :] Once I got something in my stomach I started feeling better. As soon as im 100% better I will spray down the house with Lysol and wipe down door handles and light switched etc..

 • YOU'RE PREGNANT.

I kid.

I get "sick" when the weather changes, mainly seasonally allergies - and during the winter I get sore throats, chapped lips, and sometimes blisters on my lips until I get use to the weather - our weather goes from 100 to like 20.
It could be anything, either way just drink plenty of liquids and rest.

 • I know I also start feeling sick if I go from a cold room to a hot shower. Something about the air being really thick, and it being suddenly too warm or something. Iono. xD

But yeah. Daycares are like... cesspools for colds. Ughdaycares.
