So sick of it!

edited November 2010 in Vent
Im so so so so sick of being called a bad kid! Honestly I am! I just have bad luck, I see kids all the time getting away with random things, I dont get away with anything. Like today I was fooling around, and I was swinging my arms and knocked my friends glasse off. I got DETENTION for that, and my step mom just gave me a long talk because apperntly theres a pattren. One teacher thought I was talking, but it was some other girl, and got mad at me for talking in class, and then my dad was all mad. Another teacher is just bad with kids. Every single kid, even the best of the best has some how gotten in trouble by her, even for whispering ONCE in the year, she writes you up on thhis sheet my grade has. And these ltitle things I like to vent to my step mom about, and now shes saying these vents are excuses. I want to complain about someone without it being held against me later. Shes like "You two teachers hate you and now your physically fighting" and i find it funny because the kid himself said it was obviously an accident. My step moms keeps saying I should have lived at my moms, and im a bad kid,and the bad thing is, , my dad agrees. The only reason I havent left is because of my school...I love it, and my friends, I chouldnt bare to leave.

 • In one sense I want to say the quick solution is to just stop fooling around while at school, but it does sound like maybe some of it really isn't your fault, but a sensitive teacher, or an accident. Then again, the quick solution still might be to stop fooling around while in school. The problem with fooling around while at school is that people do indeed take notice of it, so when a real accident happens, or your teacher punishes you, because she/he is super sensitive to everything/having a bad day, then others think it was due to you fooling around, even though that one time you may have been behaving perfectly fine. In some sense you are in charge of how people view you, so it's up to you to change it if you don't like what they think. My advice is to save the sillies for breaks, lunch time, and when school is out. When you are in class, make sure EVERYTHING you are doing is related to that class, or start studying if you finish the assignments.

Now, I am sorry about what your step mother said. That was not nice, and not something you should have to hear.

 • I had a teacher in Elementary school that once made me scoop horse poop (our punishment at that school) for someone else's fault. I was sitting there and I was the quiet kid and [we were having music lessons] and a kid across the room played her instrument when she wasn't supposed to.. It wasn't me but I was the one to get in trouble.

I don't know what to say really since I easily avoid getting in trouble.. Whatever you do try to make a good impression with teachers on the first days of school. And make sure not to ever interrupt them.
I thought about it and your right, a majority of the time im really not at fault, but many times im talkative, or goofing off, and I need to be less soical /: Its so hard, im just so happy, and talkative, and I have something to say to everyone. Im deffiantly going to work on it though. Thanks Sushi, and sorry for my vent sounding so petty guys, its just ugh really detention for somthing clearly and accicdnet? Silly humans...
 • See, Newf I do ok on the first day of school and stuff, and for most of my teachers I actully get along well with. I actulyl do limit the talking to approprate times (when the teachers is kind of signaling fun time) most of the time, im just soooo talkative, natrully, like breathing. I love people, love to talk, and joke and smile, your so lucky you get out of trouble easy /: Quite a gift you have!
 • I need to be less soical /:
You don't need to be less social, you just need to pick and choose the right times use your social skills. Remember to be positive ;D

This vent sounds productive. I love that. I really hope things start working out for you, but don't give up if one method fails. You got to keep trying until you find what works for you.
