Just thought I'd mention, that the more I am asked about this the longer I will put off naming winners >.> I don't mind you looking forward to the winner, but just don't ask how much longer til they are going to be announced etc.<br><br>I work long hours, not getting home til 8pm. By then I just want to cook/eat my dinner, walk the dog, and actually sit down for some personal time (as in watch a bit of tv for an hour), before showering and crawling to bed to start the whole loop again. And on my days off I clean the house and just want to sleep <br><br>There is 11 entries, and some are quite good. So is a difficult to give points. I have not forgotten this, I am just putting my life/sanity before a pixel contest. Hope you understand.

<span style="font-weight:bold">Jervar Setter</span> {Hare-var}<br><br> <span style="font-style:italic">“The grace and elegance of a Saluki, the power of a Weimeraner, the ticking of a Munsterlander and a touch of English Setter – that's the beauty of a Jervar.”</span><br><br> The Jervar Setter is a breed made for both working and family life. The Jervar has a gentle personality in it's home, and an eager, powerful personality while out in the field. Jervar owners recognize their dogs as being elegant creatures with cat-like personalities, in a way. While other Setters tend to be goofy and personable, Jervars are a serious breed that doesn't hold the goofy, free personality. This is ideal for some homes who are looking for a more relaxed, independent breed. However, Jervar owners do find it funny when their Royal-acting breeds run and hide at the site of danger.<br><br> <span style="font-weight:bold">Height:</span> 65-70 cm<br> <span style="font-weight:bold">Weight:</span> 50-70 lbs<br><span style="font-weight:bold"><br>Description:</span> The Jervar Setter is a sleek breed, bred for smooth, elegant strides in the working field. Not only does it have keen senses, but people often love to watch it work just for the beauty of it's breed. The Jervar is a larger breed of field worker, but it has the swiftness of a smaller breed, making it ideal for thick brush and tall grasses, as it's owner can see it more easily than smaller hunting breeds. It has a long snout and rounded head, similar to it's other Setter relatives. It's snout goes to a point instead of having a blocky look, however. Unlike the other Setter breeds, the Jervar has a shorter coat, with tufts of fur where the feathering would be on it's relatives. The only feathering that remains with some length is on the tail, though sometimes owners trim this so it matches the rest of the dog's fur length. This short coat works well with the field work this breed is made for, as it is still slick and doesn't tangle with burs and other brush while the dog is in the field. The Jervar's coat is very thin, in this respect as well. The nose of the Jervar comes in dark colors most often. The eyes of the Jervar are most often silver in color, but they do grow darker into black with some dogs – no Jervar from clean lines would have any colored eyes such as blue or yellow or even brown.<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Color varieties:</span> The coat of the Jervar comes in several colors, with the most common being silver with black ticking (heavy), white with black ticking (heavy) or either of those shades with light ticking. Sometimes the ticking can look more like flecks of snow in a layer along it's back – this is a rare trait. This breed can also have darker points around the tail and ears. However, if looking for protection, the Jervar is not a good breed for this. It lacks the courage to protect it's family. Due to this skittish nature, it's important an owner takes special care of this breed through it's puppy years. If not trained to noises properly, this dog can lose it's elegant hunting abilities, as it is easily prone to gun shyness. The Jervar will also lose it's ability to handle crowded places if not trained properly for large groups of people at a young age. This dog is not for people who will not take the time to socialize it. While friendly with it's people, due to it's cowardice nature, it tends to get aggressive with strangers. In general, while the Jervar is a great family dog, attention should be given to proper raising for social environments and loud noises to take care that the dog's scared personality doesn't take hold of it.<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Health:</span> A fairly healthy breed, the Jervar is prone to most large dog problems such as Hip Dysplasia. They are also prone to eye troubles when they have the lighter shaded eyes, and blindness may be found in these shades.<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Life Expectancy:</span> This breed has a life expectancy of 13 years.<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Litter Size:</span> This breed tends to have smaller litters of 3-4 pups on average.<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Living:</span> The Jervar is a fairly mellow breed while indoors, though if cooped up too long it will get agitated. It works well for apartment living if there is regular walking worked into the daily schedule. The Jervar will thrive on larger pieces of property where it can get out and run. <br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Climate Tolerance:</span> Due to the breed's short, thin fur, it's not ideal for colder climates. It is not an outdoor dog if living in cold climates. This dog loves moderate climates most due to the exercise it likes to receive, though hot regions also work for it.<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Grooming:</span> Due to the short, thin fur of this breed, grooming isn't needed often. <br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Training:</span> Many Jervar owners will say this breed is too intelligent for it's own good at times. It knows what it can get away with, and often will use this to it's advantage when it comes to training. While it does learn easily, it also has bad behaviors that can be hard to correct. Early training is recommended for this breed, as it will get basic manors early on which will help derive from the dog learning bad manors as it grows up. The dog is very dedicated when it comes to work, however, so most of these issues will dissolve once the dog is engaged in work. The breed does well in the following activities:<br><br>Hunting<br>Tracking<br>Obedience<br><br>While intelligent and willing to work, the breed may do bad in agility and flyball simply due to the crowded, enclosed areas it may be exposed to. If one wants to show a Jervar in these events, it's recommended they get them adjusted to such environments early on.<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Breed History:</span> The Jervar is a breed developed in the early 1950's by a group of hunters in Germany who wanted to produce a breed that would work better where their dogs were failing. The grey colors in fur and the silver eyes, as well as the short, sleek and thin fur were given to it by the Weimeraner. It's aggressive nature toward strangers may have been provided by this breed as well, though it lost it's protective instincts. The heavy ticking pattern prevalent in this breed is given from the Munsterlander, whose white fur with black patterning may have given the Jervar a lot of its coat patterns. While the size may have been given from the Weimeraner, this breed also carries some English Setter in it's lineage, which contributes to the overall setter classification of the breed, and perhaps helps with it's size. This breed also has the Saluki in it's lineage, which contributes to the sleekness of it. Due to the other three breeds, the majority of the Saluki was pushed out of the Jervar, however it's cat-like traits probably came from the Saluki and render it's personality under the Saluki control.

To be honest, I'd be rather upset about that and regretful of making it publicly accessible if I found out someone already got to 9x4 on a breed I had Just created. <br><br>In no way did anyone bash anyone for getting to 9x4's on this breed. I think you posting this was a little unnecessary. We all understand that the breed was made public, but in no way did we make rude comments about anyone. All we said was that Nickel didn't even get a chance to work on the breed herself. No one is mad or upset that someone is already at 9x4s. Actually I give kudos to them for achieving so in so little time.
What I found a bit rude was Paper's comment "Aww what a spoil sport. Some people just like to ruin things". I listed your names in a way that was speaking to any other viewers, Kitt. Had it been directly at the 3 of you -only-, I would've made a point of that and that's the purpose of quoting. Instead I gave my opinion that explains both sides of the story for others to consider. Again, the bashing thing is for everyone Else to avoid. I'm -trying- to avoid a heated argument between people defending one side or the other. My point is that there is no right or wrong to the summarized straight to the point matter of what has happened. I agree that it sucks that she didn't get a chance to start on her own first. I -already- stated I'd be upset about that and/or can understand that anyone else could be, I understand both points of view. And so, I took the time to explain it for everyone else to comprehend. How is it unnecessary realistically posting those points if it's predictable that this could all turn sour?
