  I like this idea. It's amazing what you can find in the puppy plaza, but being able to search for imports would be awesome! <br><br>Definitely would cut the searching time down!

  I don't know if admin1 has a different way of coding it, but when I once talked to Nef about searching for imports and stuff she said that the more "factors" you put into the search, the slower the search and vp will go :P

  When someone searches, it goes goes through every single one of the hundreds of thousands of dogs, separating the ones that meet that criteria that's selected. It's not too bad time wise searching right now, about 7 seconds to find all dogs when the game isn't too busy. If you search during busy times, it takes longer. Also, the more dogs the game gets, the slower search will get. The more criteria that's added to search, the longer searching will take.<br><br>There's no way to search for gifty colors because gifty colors are coded exactly the same as normal colors. <br><br>Searching for stars would add 40 search parameters (10 stats up to 4 stars in each), increasing search time by more than 4 times, meaning most browsers would time out before the search could be completed.

  It's not my place to say "No" though I highly doubt gifty colors and stars will ever be searchable as it would mean a complete recoding of the game to make them feasible.
