I'm finally learning how to play guitar. And my fingertips on my left hand are covered in blisters:(

    Haha, I feel ya. I took lessons for awhile but I was a wimp and gave up. I'm wanting to pick it up again and try. It will be worth it! =D

    I suck at the guitar... I can't even tune it. I don't even know HOW to tune it. Plus I don't know how to play it. When I do strum it just to see... it breaks everyone's ears...

    My boyfriend plays guitar and the finger tips on his left hand are hard from callouses where his fingers blistered over from playing so much. He's pretty good at it and I love listening to him play! It would be worth it if you guys learned! I'm not musically inclined so I refuse to even TRY. Kudos to you guys for at least attempting!

    Well, I'm kind of being forced to learn now, because I'm in a guitar class at school, and I kind of need the credit in order to graduate in June.. so. xD I can't really give up or I don't graduate on time.

    Practice makes perfect! ;D Youll do great! Id love to learn guitar but I cant until Ive mastered drumming. I feel your pain with practicing. I get blisters too! But like right in the middle of my fingers where my stick rubs. And Ohmygosh, never in my life have I experienced pain worse than when I leave my pinky out and hit it with my stick D;

    Is it acoustic or electric?<br>Electrics are a bit better for beginning since they're easier on the fingers, I have both kinds and I used to have a bass.<br>Don't give up! I think the blisters are worth it! =]

    It's an acoustic class, they don't offer electric, because everyone would have to have their own amp to drag back and forth to school every day. I'd rather just develop the calluses now and have my fingers tough anyway I think. It would be easier on my fingers if I had the nylon strings, but I have the steel strings and I'm too lazy to go buy nylon ones. xD I'm enjoying the class, I just wish I was learning one on one instead of in a class of 20 kids.

    Oh i bet its difficult to learn with that many kids in one class :/ Brian (My bf) has the steel strings, but he pays electric guitar. He prefers that but he can play acoustic just as good and bass I do believe. Do you think I should let him teach me? 0.0 You make it sound so fun! xD

    The same thing happened to me when I first started playing but your fingers eventually get used to it. Ok... I know this sounds un-normal :lol: lol, but if you soak your fingers in steaming hot water or freezing cold water that will help, also :)
