At the one I volunteer at dogs are 65 dollars and cats are 50. I've seen shelters that charge over 200 dollars for ONE dog though. O.O It's crazy...THAT is why none of their dogs are adopted.
Fin was $300. He wasn't neutered yet so we had to pay for that as part of the adoption fee.<br><br>Fiona was $400, but all of the surgeries she needed came with the adoption. She WAS special needs lol
Bully was 8,000...but he wasn't adopted he was bought from a breeder that would beat his dogs with sticks..so technically he WAS rescued. xD<br><br>All my other dogs cost 7000 and up...its ridiculous I know, but most were in bad situations.

<br><br>Paying 8000 to a person that beats his dogs is the worst thing you could have done, because it just means he'll breed more. Same with people who buy dogs from a puppy mill, thinking they're doing a good deed by rescuing an animal.... by buying one dog you just made it possible for that person to breed more litters that will be just as abused.
Yeah...sad...I could only save a few though because the rest weren't for sale and in that country hitting your dog and abusing it isn't illegal, so its not like I could call AC. Neither is making them fight, and thats what the dogs were mainly used for because they were tosas.

<br><br>THAT DOG WAS ABOUT TO BE KILLED. 8,000 was demanded, 8,000 was what I paid to save a life. And quite frankly, it isn't much to me, not like I could've just TAKEN him. Just the other day I donated 3,000 dollars to a woman that was having trouble with her kids, her kids were starving. Should I not have donated that money because she might have more kids and that money is what she'll use to support them? Should I not donate the hundreds of dollars that I do to homeless people because it keeps them alive for another day of possibly suffering? I understand where you could be coming from, but nothing can make me regret buying the dogs that I bought, they mean more to me then money. He was going to breed more anyway, reguardless of whether I gave him money or not.
Pics of ALL ten of them?? Yessshhh. I've been promising people pics. And then I get off track or I take the pics on my cell and they look terrible. I need to get another camera. Bully and LaLa will def. have pics up soon though. They're famous here! Everyone knows them xD
lol, my eight other puppies mean just as much to me. But Bully and LaLa have done so many amazing things that they just...stole that place in my heart xD No dog has ever been there for me like Bully.

<br><br>If the country you are talking about is Japan, there are laws against animal abuse there, and animal welfare groups.<br><br><br>

By the way, that guy didn't need money to breed. It doesn't take money to bring the two dogs together and make puppies. Reguardless of what I paid him, more dogs would have been bred and I'am in the process of stopping him..it's hard though. And Bully may have cost 8k, but he's made me far more then that.
<br><br><br>You gave him more reason to breed. You wanted that dog, so you bought it... that just proves to the person that people will buy dogs if he breeds, so he'll breed <span style="font-style:italic">more dogs</span> to make <span style="font-style:italic">more money</span>. It's basic supply and demand. If nobody bought any of them he'd stop breeding, because he wouldn't be making money.... common sense.
The country I was talking about isn't Japan, anyone who knows me will tell you that I'am very aware of the laws there, I go there often. I wanted him? Thats why I bought him? I got him because I didn't want him to DIE. Can you not understand that? If I wanted to get an 8k dollar dog I would have gotten him from a reputable breeder, I didn't buy the dog because he has show qualities and because he was desirable, the breeder KNOWS that I only bought the dog to save him. If nobody buys his dogs he sells them to fighters or for cheap to people that WILL buy the dog. One way or another he's able to sell them, and HE WILL BREED MORE ANYWAY. Common sense? You know nothing about this guy. You can't automatically put him into the "general breeder" category. He doesn't stop simply because he isn't making money, he's always making money. And even if he wasn't he would continue to breed them in hopes of making money.

<br><br><br>You can say all you want to justify it, but you still contributed to the breeding of more dogs to be abused. As long as there are people who think they're doing the right thing by rescuing a dog from a bad breeder, it won't stop.
Awwww!<br><span style="font-size:30">I don't want this thread to get locked. : (</span>
