Giffties

edited June 2011 in Game Suggestions
this might be really hard to code but im puting it out there anyway. If you had two giffties and breed them,Some of the pups should have a mix between the two colors.Say one giffties color was Rainbow and the others Candy. It could be Raincandy as the color?

  • I imagine that would be very hard to code, but my main objection to the idea is that then players would be getting, essentially, goodie colors for free. The game needs the revenue from goodie/upgrade sales to maintain the server.
  • True Unless there were like speacil dogs that you had to pay more for when you bought a goddie dye?
  • Well, considering buying one of those dogs would then provide unlimited opportunities for "free" gifties, I'd still say it would be detrimental to the game's funding.
  • I think the coding on this would be too much to consider. It would require creating coding of a number of fields for body, eyes, etc., plus a field(s) for fantasy appendages such as wings or horns. Then the game would have to be coded to give a chance to each of those fields to pass on separate from the rest. Meanwhile, all the colors already created would need to be able to be transfered into the new coding.<br><br>The other problem might be that people would be able to "birth" out dogs with colors other players have already purchased. For example, if you purchased the color "sparkly green with gold eyes and black claws" I could recreate the color in my pups by purchasing "sparkly green with silver eyes and ivory claws" and "Midnight black with gold eyes and black claws". Meaning your 1OAK would become 2OAK and maybe more, devaluing your color.<br><br>And in the end, it would be like Aziu says, for the price of two dyes (or special dogs), you could get several special colors for nothing, lowering sales of goodie dyes. The game needs to make money to support itself.
