i think he looks pure bred but if he wasnt i think and only if he wasnt pure i think maybe beagle
He looks a bit tall and the ears are not as long and he doesn't have all those wrinkles you normally see with a purebred so maybe a mix?

And beagle would be my guess as well
He looks like he is shaped like your aunt's Basset BabyBean, he is just liver colored. I walk Hushpuppy everyday and keep him on a special diet like my vet discussed with me to keep him from getting over weight. My vet says he looks pure bred, but he was not sure either seeing that the mom was outside a lot and the family we got him from had an underground fence, so any other dog could get in with her. I will post pictures of his siblings that they kept along with some of Hushpuppy's puppy pictures to see what you guys think.

Omg,I think if anything he is a bassest hound and I kinda yhe face of a beagle,he is very pretty,I am a show person so one bad thing to say,I dont like his front feet they turn out but omg omg omg he is freaken cute!I love him!Do you know how old he is?
Sounds good. Yeah, biggest thing for animals is table scraps. Dogs can be really bad with harassing you for food even when corrected. Any giving in ruins training of keeping the pet away. My cat Daisy will snatch ham out of my Subway sandwhich if I leave it unattended long enough >.> And she hovers over the table (sits on the heater right next to my spot). I correct her to keep her off but because I've given in before and she recognizes the smell, she's gonna think she can get some again. But yeah, my aunt has set feeding times, one scoop (which is a cup I think) at each feeding time (fed twice a day) and a walk in the morning every day, aside from when she also has to take him out to go to the bathroom. He's very muscular and lean, in great health. Dude, no lie he can jump over a raised babygate. Like high enough to stop him, low enough to keep him from making it under. Well guess who jumped that? Yep. Fletcher, the Basset. Basset Hound! We had to put my kitchen chairs up against it so the backs added extra height. Dog's a pain I tell ya. But that's because he got away with everything as a pup. Just a big baby. But I gotta admit, he has been getting better over the years.

Anywho. Not to take over your thread XD My apologies. Yours is handsome, I like the way he looks Does he obey well? And tiny, all Basset's feet turn out that way.
Tinydancer: The fee thing is just a Basset Hound thing. They all do it, his may be more than normal but all Basset Hounds I have ever seen have a curve in their ankles.
Babybean: He is very stubborn but that is just the breed. I gave up on house breaking him and he never liked the crate. He howled all night in the crate. Now he is an outside dog, but now that he is outside he seems happier. He does not even bark unless our neighbor's dogs start barking.

I have uploaded the pictures of him as a puppy and will be adding them in the next 3 minutes.

You should pull his blood and send it to the people that can tell you what breed it is.Haha so at my stable got that done with a her horse.
The only place that does that here is a University and it is VERY expensive. My vet told me about it and one of my friends had it done with is dog and it was like $300 and I just do not have that kind of money.

He's so darn cute! Like the others said, he looks as if he has some Beagle in him. Or perhaps, he's just a poorly bred Basset.

I've used Wisdom Panel on all my mixed breeds. And, have been satisfied with the results. http://www.wisdompanel.com/
