This morning the puppies were outside playing around like usual and all of a sudden we hear screaming, it is my favorite puppy who sollowed a thorn branch my mom tried to gentle pull it out so nothing would tear it throat but it was to late she sollowed it and they went to the emarcgcy clinic! She is a 7 week old 8 pound puppy. I hope she will be okay. Ivie (the mom) is crying and sniffing the air but she has the other 5 puppies but she knows something is wrong,she is a smart one.I just hope that my little puppy will be okay. :cry: :cry: :| :|

    **UPDATE***: Not good news she is going to get surgery it is 14 inches long and it is a thorn branch and it might have cut up some tissue in her throat.

    When I breed my dogs the litter is treated like real, human babies. NEVER left unattended and kept under close supervision until they are sold and out of my home. I hope the puppy is okay. Why it swallowed a thorn branch, however, eludes me. O.o Puppies eat the strangest things..

    sorry about the pup but my puppy used to eat bees and she's allergic to them soo $$$$$$$later from vet and emergency now sweety my pup just sits there and growls at the bee also she once ate a bee flowers a bottle cap and a stick like really and i was with her i let her out 5mins later emergency vet! so don't feel bad they all do it at some point

    Um, just a question, how did your mom not notice her puppy is swallowing a 14 inch long thorn bush stick? Why were puppies even near a sport that had thorn bushes and therefore sticks on the ground?

    <br> There is a gate by the thron bushes and she must have got in the gate,my mom did notice she was trying to get it out,they werne't on the ground she was pulling the thron branch off the tree. We never leave the puppies alone when they are outside.

    Aw I hope the puppy is ok! Last week, we got home and there was a dead rabbit stuck in the foster puppies' pen. Our 8 Min Pin/Corgi babies had killed it while it was trying to get out of their pen =(
