I am NOT impressed

edited April 2012 in Vent
I am SO sick and tired of rude people. I sell things on a local online classifieds website, and you would not believe how rude people get. For example...this morning at 7:50 there was a phone call. I let it ring because I was way too comfortable in bed. Well five seconds later it rang again, and I thought maybe it's an emergency, so I answered it. This is what I got "Hello!! Do you still have the hamster cage for sale?!" -_- This call couldnt have waited til say...9am or so? Or they had the option of emailing me.
Next story. I was sick of cleaning my 35 Gallon fish tank, so I sold it for waaay cheap ($50) to a woman. The next day she had it online for $150. I am fully aware that she had the right to do it, but it just irked me. Also when she came to buy the tank, her daughter fell in love with one of my baby hamsters I had for sale so I gave it to her for free. The mother follows up with "Thank you for the hamster, but I need food, shavings, a wheel, a water bottle, a food dish, and a cage. For free" :O I just -gave- you a free hamster, drive to Wal-Mart and buy the stuff you need or offer to buy it off of me. (You could tell she wasn't hurting for money, so she more than could've afforded it.) Fast forward to yesterday. She saw the online ad for the hamster cage, and calls me. I told her that I was sorry, but it had already been sold to a woman that was going to drive an hour to come pick it up. So a minute or so after we hang up, she calls back and says..."Listen. I have the money right now and can come buy that cage." What. The. *clears throat*. I had -just- told her it is already sold! I'm not going to have the woman who's buying it drive an hour to come pick it up and say "Whoops, my bad. I sold it last night to Rude Fish Tank Lady".

>.> End.Of.Rant.

 • Wow.. I know exactly where you're coming from. The thing with the fish tank being sold for 150 afterwards is normal, though.. It's what a lot of people do. My mom has sold a few things on an auction website for me, and you'd be surprised by how many turn around and put the item up for more before it has even arrived at their doorstep! It upsets me, too.

They are definitely out there.

That hamster lady, though.. Wow, just wow. She expected everything the hamster needed for free? Ridiculous!

 • Yep, she wanted everything for free. I was suprised she didn't ask me to come clean the cage once a week as well >.>

 • Whoops, I forgot to say there was also a matching tank stand, and absolutely everything needed for it to run, plus extra stuff.
