Losing a pet. My newest rescue kitten, Fuzz Butt (hubby named her) started showing signs of an upper respiratory the evening of the 2nd, just a simple viral infection, nothing serious... Well, she was starting to get a bit better by the 4th, so we figured it would be safe to go to hubby's mothers... We were gone for three hours, she was fine when we left, and when we got home she was laying on her side, yowling and retracting... We tried to rush her to a vet, but none were open, and by the time we got in touch with someone it was too late... she seized and then her heart stopped. They looked at her afterward, and told us that her liver had failed, probably due to something she'd always been carrying, and there was nothing we could have done. It just, well, it hurts to have seen an animal go from seemingly perfect health to dead in less than 2 full days. I loved that kitten, and we had found her a good home. She wasn't even old enough for her eyes to change to their adult color, and I didn't even get a chance to get a picture of her... I'm glad she had a good home for the last month of her life, I just wish it hadn't ended so soon... R.I.P "FB"
