Very Cute I miss my dwarfs. Just wanted to note that in North America a lot of Djungarian (aka. Siberian, Russian Winter White) Dwarfs are hybrids with the Campbell's Dwarf. Campbell's carry diabetes and being over weight can be a sign of this, so it's best to try to avoid foods and treats with a lot of sugar in them (like corn, and commercial hamster "snacks").

Enjoy the new addition!
thanks, zyn!

ori, thanks for the info. yeah, she's got a bit of chub to her. I just have her on regular hamster foods, I never give them treats. (i 'm paranoid that the sugars will hurt them. xD) and i gave her a little bit of apple this morning? does that sound okay? I don't want to kill her.
yep, apple in moderation is fine for hammies I'm not saying for sure she has diabetes, it's just a good thing to keep in mind with the species. Corn is really only one to watch because it's rather high in glucose.
After looking at the rest of the pictures, I'm fairly certain she's a Campbell. Djungarian can be used to describe either the Campbells or the Winter White (I really just wish people would call them by their proper names all the time lol, some stores go with Russian or Siberian too). The Campbells are the more commonly seen ones in pet stores. Personality wise I believe they are rather similar so it's basically an either or situation lol.

She is quite cute and not too heavy looking. The ones with diabetes often get an almost puffy, or bloated look to them.
