Any ideas?

So Boss tore a ligament in his back, left leg >.< This happened initially in October. I brought him to the vet, and after some testing they determined what it was (at first they thought it might be a symptom of Lyme disease O.o), and they put him on Rimadyl. They told me to let him rest for "Oh, about two weeks". After two weeks I let him start to play with Jacoby again (light play). Aaand he re-injured his leg. *sigh* so back to the vet for more medicine, and this time I was told "It wasn't supposed to be two weeks! It was supposed to be a month!" (I -know- what I heard, the vet -did- say 2 weeks...)

So the other day Boss finished his second round of Rimadyl, but still needs to rest his leg. He's -so- bored! I of course feel bad because he's very pent up since he's normally such an active dog. I tried giving him a treat dispensing toy and he chewed it apart in about 10 minutes... So I bought him one of these <a href="http://www.lnt.com/photos/product/standard/114420S504833/heavy-duty-dog-chews/durachew-double-action-chew.jpg"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.lnt.com/photos/product/standard/114420S504833/heavy-duty-dog-chews/durachew-double-action-chew.jpg; and he's bored with it now. So, does anybody have any idea of how I can amuse him?

 • Mental stimulation is the best thing for a bored mind!
 • Not sure if you have any toys which you can stuff food or peanut butter into?
Pigs ear maybe?

 • Hmm, didn't even think about stuffing food in stuff. I'd buy him a Kong but she chews those in minutes. I think they sell stuffed cow hooves, maybe that'd work. Anyways, thanks for the ideas!

 • Deer antlers are, in my opinion, the best chew toys ever. Dogs love them, they last really long, and it's hard to make a mess with one. The only downside is they can be pretty expensive. Have you tried doing little puzzles? You can order them online but they run from $20-60. If you have. Muffin tin you can put cookies in the holes and then cover them up with tennis balls so they have to move the ball to get the treat. Good luck!

 • o.O I didn't know they made puzzles for dogs. Cute Idea!! Hmm, I'll try the muffin tin idea, that sounds like something he'd enjoy. Thanks Emme
