MERLE lab puppies?!

My brother has AKC duck dog labs. A yellow and a chocolate. We were sooo excited about Remmi's first puppies. Guess our shock when we get 3 MERLE puppies!! Someone has been jumping fences!! Were gonna keep one of the merles though because my border collie got hurt and will no longer be able to wrestle with my moms dog.<br><img src="http://i42.tinypic.com/2j2c2kz.jpg"; alt="http://i42.tinypic.com/2j2c2kz.jpg"; class="bb-image" />

    I don't think so!! Even the black ones have white chests and toes. I personally think the male aussie down the road might be the culprit because of the merle and the white all over. Only thing is that dog was run over a while ago and I don't remember If it was before or after she was in heat! My brother thinks it was the blue heeler.

    I'd say aussie over ACD, ACD pups are a bit like dallys don't start to see the blue come through till a few weeks I'm sure of it, if you look it up.

    I think aussie too. If im not mistankees ACDs don't tend to have a ton of white like these pups do. Aussies do. (which im okay with cause aussies are my FAVORITE)

    ACDs can, seen a lot of ACD crosses with a lot of white but the pups are normaly born whiteish with black or red patches than the blue or red starts coming in xD.

    oh my gosh how cute!! I told my mom were just going to have to wait to see when they grow up and some get fuzzy or not. Im sure we will be able to tell physically whether they look more ACD or Aussie. but either way they are precious!

    Oh, LabxAussies should actually turn out well, if that's what they are XD Did a quick image search, and there are some pretty similar looking puppies. <br><br><br><br>Though, tbh, the fact that the parents are "AKC" doesn't mean anything, it's possible to fake the names of the parents of a litter on the registry forms if you're an unscrupulous breeder. Not saying your brothers labs are mixed, btw, the mother looks pure... just wanted to point that out.

    very true. But both dogs are definitely full lab. Even if they arena "AKC". He uses them for duck hunting and they both LOVE it. But we know his choc. lab isn't the daddy because Merle is a dominant trait meaning one of the parents HAS to be merle.

    down to four puppies. Remmi laid on the puppy me and my mom wanted. The merle female. Remmi is kind of confused as to how to raise puppies I believe. She keeps burying them in the sand to keep them cool and we keep having to move them. Were just hoping the rest make it until their eyes open and they become a bit more mobile.

    2 boy merles, there was one girl, then a boy black and a girl black
