<span style="color:#400080">That's a good question. It's not just imports, occasionally I'll breed a dog with a random color not in its breed standard. But like Frost said, you definitely don't have to change the colors to use the dogs. Unless it <span style="font-style:italic">really </span>just bothers you for some reason... Colors don't matter that much in this game anyway unless they're gifties</span>
When imports are created, they come from 1 dog code with some variables so the dogs don't have all the same stats. It's not a glitch, but neither is it purposeful that the public breeds come different colors. It just happens that way. The colors on a public breed simply aren't important to the game since they don't impact anything in the game code. Some players may even enjoy having dogs that aren't breed standard or are "special".

Ok. That makes sense. Thank you guys for the explainations. Since I now know their offspring come out with the right colors, I'm not worried about that anymore since I don't have to spend all that money to change the colors to get correctly colored offspring. I was just panicking when I thought all my pups would be the wrong colors and the only way I could get right colored pups would be to do the color change and since I know now that that is not the only way, I'm ok. Lol. XD
