If conformation is what you are looking to do, I agree with Zyn, male 5 is the way to go. That is what I show my Pitbulls and Bullies in and that is the attitude/looks I look for.

We do the B.A.R.F diet with our Pits and Bullies and it is amazing. They have amazing coats and are more active since we switched them.

Maybe he is bored. My dog used to do the same thing, so my friend suggested doing agility with her and she stopped. Also you could put big toys (agility tunnels, a rope in a tree, etc) to keep him occupied.
