8 is a good number, if you make a mistake or one half of the line doesn't progress in a breeding like you'd hoped, you can "borrow" a spare from the other half!

14.75 shows up a lot but the fastest time for my current racing Greys is 14.73 (speeds 148.1-148.2)... However I looked at my retired racing dogs and saw the fastest speed for one of them (speed 148.3) was 14.68!
