May doesn't count as the first month, because that is when they were last on. 1 month after May is June, so you count from June.

You do know its October right? And so June til October = 4 months (July, August, Sept, Oct). And May til now will be 5 months. You can only rescue after 6 months

Dogs aren't technically for sale with negative values. It is people just advertising dogs, or making them easier for themselves to find on their own kennel. Because with negative numbers they appear at the top of the lists.
