I like it a lot, the only thing I'd say is use a simple font for your copyright and make it small and not too noticeable at first.

depends on how many that is. xD && how's a waterfall or lake type scene sound for the background? Or possibly a mountain.... which sounds most appealing to you, if any?

You might as well enter, then. Most contests just don't end so no winner is ever chosen. I'm personally thinking of not doing any more contests for a very very long time.
