you should be able to put together,just quarentin for at least 48 hours,once ou put them together watch and listen for alot of barking,then one might be male,but females will make low barking sound,looking for mate and when scared

you didn'tmention how old,but alot of breeds have hip problems the older they get,just like people get arthritis,but you still should see vet,and have tested,lyme also shows up as muscle and joint problems
